Susi Moser received her PhD in geography at Clark University, Worcester, MA, USA. She held research positions at Harvard (Global Environmental Assessment Project, 1997-1999) and at the H. John Heinz III Center for Science, Economics and the Environment. From 1999 until 2003, she served as staff scientist for climate change at the Union of Concerned Scientists - a U.S. science-based environmental advocacy group - where she was project manager on several climate change impacts projects and implemented effective communication strategies between scientists and policy- and decision-makers (strategic communication). Since September 2003, she conducts research at the Environmental and Societal Impacts Group at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). Her research interests include climate change impacts on coastal systems, coastal hazards management, vulnerability/resilience/adaptation, the science-policy interface, as well as communication and behavior change.
